MARTABAK MANIS RECIPE
If you visit Indonesia, this food will be very easy to find especially at night on the side of the road, sweet martabak is usually used as a night snack but you can also make it a dessert.
This home version of Sweet Martabak can be made easily and practically. The ingredients are simple, and can be cooked using Teflon that is already in each kitchen.
Ingredients for dough
- 250 gr wheat flour
- 350 ml of water
- 1 tbsp tapioca flour
- 2 tbsp sugar
- tsp baking powder
- tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp baking soda
- Butter
- Granulated sugar, as a sprinkling
Ingredients for Toppings:
- Chocolate
- coarsely ground peanuts
- 100 ml sweetened condensed milk
How to make martabak dough:
- Mix flour, tapioca, baking powder, salt, sugar, and water and mix well
- Let the dough rest for 1 hour
- Add eggs and baking soda and mix well
- Grease a little butter on the pan, when it's hot, pour the martabak batter, when it's half cooked, pour the sugar over it
- Grease enough butter
- Add toppings, coarsely ground peanuts,chocolate meses,
- Add Full Sweetened Condensed Milk
Note: You can also be creative by adding various kinds of toppings according to your taste
